About

b. 1986, HK.

Leonora Hamill is an acclaimed photographic artist who established her interior decoration studio in New York in 2016. Having undertaken projects in New York, Newport (RI), London, Paris, Madrid and Milan, the studio is now based in London, where Leonora continues to work on residential projects in Europe and in the United States.

Leonora’s aesthetic is layered, eclectic and sophisticated. A visual storyteller, her inviting interiors are brimming with a mix of antiques, pattern, colour, vintage and ethnic textiles, unusual furniture and objects, that belong to different periods and places but co-exist in harmony. Her style is warm and engaging and with her artist's eye for quality and skill combined with a strong network amongst dealers and craftsmen across Europe, she helps her clients express their personalities, creating truly distinctive spaces.

Fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish, and curious by nature, Leonora enjoys working collaboratively with her clients in order to marry practical and aesthetic considerations.  She often develops long lasting relationships, working with them over a period of years as their homes and lifestyles evolve.

Leonora studied history of art and visual culture at the Courtauld Institute of Art and at the University of Oxford before embarking on her own artistic career at the International Center of Photography and at the Royal College of Art. She was awarded the HSBC Prix de la Photographie in 2012 and her work has been included in several museum shows including the Petit Palais and Somerset House.

Her design philosophy reflects her theoretical and practical training in art from which stem a deep understanding and appreciation of beauty, craftsmanship and provenance.
